THIRTY-THIRD SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME — Year C

First Reading: Malachi 3:19-20

A reading from the book of the prophet Malachi.

Lo, the day is coming, blazing like an oven,

when all the proud and all evildoers will be stubble,

And the day that is coming will set them on fire,

leaving them neither root nor branch,

says Yahweh Sabaoth.

But for you who fear my name, there will arise

the sun of justice with its healing rays.

The Word of God recorded in the book of the prophet Malachi.

THIRTY-THIRD SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME — Year C

Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 98

R:  Our God comes to rule the earth with justice.

Sing songs to the Creator with the harp,

with the sound of music.

With trumpets and the sound of the horn,

acclaim the Magnificent One.

R:  Our God comes to rule the earth with justice.

Let the sea and all within it thunder,

the world and all its peoples.

Let the rivers clap their hands

and the hills ring out their joy.

R:  Our God comes to rule the earth with justice.

At the presence of the Just Judge who comes,

who comes to rule the earth.

Our God will rule the world with justice

and the peoples with fairness.

R:  Our God comes to rule the earth with justice.
