SIXTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME Year B

First Reading Leviticus 13:1-2, 44-46

A reading from the book of Leviticus.

Our God said to Moses and Aaron, “Anyone who has a scab or swelling or skin blotch which appears to be the sore of leprosy will be brought to Aaron the priest, or to one of the priests among Aaron’s descendants.  If someone is leprous and unclean, the priest will declare so, by reason of the infection.  Anyone who is infected with leprosy will wear torn garments and no head covering, and will cover the mouth and call out, ‘Unclean!  Unclean!’  People with leprosy will remain unclean for the duration of their infection, since they are in fact unclean.  They will dwell apart, and live outside the camp.”

The Word of God recorded in the book of Leviticus.

FIRST SUNDAY OF ADVENT — Year B

*Alternate* Responsorial Prayer

Lay your hands gently upon us,
Let their touch render your peace,
Let them bring your forgiveness and healing.
ALL: Lay your hands, gently lay your hands.

You were sent to free the broken-hearted,
You were sent to give sight to the blind,
You desire to heal all our illness.
ALL: Lay your hands, gently lay your hands.

Loving One, we come to you through one another.
Holy One, we come to you in all our need.
Healing One, we come to you seeking wholeness.
ALL: Lay your hands, gently lay your hands.
