SEVENTH SUNDAY OF EASTER — Year A
Second Reading: 1 Peter 4:13-16
A reading from the first letter of Peter.
Rejoice insofar as you share the Savior’s sufferings. When the glory of Christ is revealed, you will rejoice exceedingly. Happy are you when you are insulted for the sake of Christ, for then God’s Spirit in its glory has come to rest on you. See to it that none of you suffers for being a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or a destroyer of another’s rights. If anyone suffers for being a follower of Christ, however, that one ought not be ashamed, but should rather glorify God in virtue of that name.
The Word of God recorded in the first letter of Peter.
