Our First Sunday recipient in August is Gazelle Impact on Women & Youth in Kenya

Gazelle Impact focuses on empowering rural women and youth in economically challenged communities to achieve self-sufficiency and improve livelihoods through sustainable development projects. Work encompasses various initiatives, including high school scholarships, computer training, organic farming programs, and community center development. Gazelle Impact also provides opportunities for American college students to participate in service engagements in Kenya.

Depending on greatest need, DMIEC donations will target one of the following projects:

  • Borehole Water Project Completion (estimated $4,000): Purchase and install water holding tanks and pipe water to community center and caretaker cottage.
  • Ongoing programs at the community center including organic farming workshops, women’s groups, computer classes, and health workshops.
