TWENTY-SIXTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME — Year A
First Reading: Ezekiel 18:25-28
A reading from the book of the prophet Ezekiel.
“You say, ‘Our God’s way is not fair!’ I say, ‘Take note, nation of Israel. Is it my way that is unjust, or is it your way that is unjust?’ When the virtuous turn away from justice and commit iniquity and die, it is because of the iniquity they committed that they must die. But if the wicked, turning from the wickedness they have committed, do what is right and just, they will save their life. Because they have turned away from all the sins which they committed, they will certainly live, they will not die.”
The Word of God recorded in the book of the prophet Ezekiel.
TWENTY-SIXTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME — Year A
**Alternate** Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 25
My God, in You I trust;
may I not be disappointed,
may my enemies not exult over me.
R: Let me know Your paths, Adonai.
Teach me Your ways.
Guide me in Your true way and teach me,
for You are God, my deliverer.
It is you I look to at all times.
R: Be mindful of Your compassion and Your faithfulness, Adonai.
They are old as time.
Be not mindful of my youthful sins and transgressions;
in keeping with Your faithfulness consider what is in my
favor,
as befits Your goodness, Adonai.
R: Good and upright is the Lord; instructing sinners in the way.
Leading the lowly in the right path, teaching the lowly God’s way.
ALL: Thanks be to God.
