THIRTY-FIRST SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME — Year C

Second Reading: 2 Thessalonians 1:11-2:2

A reading from the second letter of Paul to the Thessalonians.

We pray continually that our God will make you worthy of the call, and that by God’s power all your desires for goodness will be fulfilled and all your works of faith completed.  In this way the name of our Savior Jesus Christ will be glorified in you and you in Christ, by the grace of our God and of the Most High Jesus Christ.

To turn now, sisters and brothers, to the coming of Jesus Christ and how we shall all be gathered together:  please do not get excited too soon or alarmed by any prediction or rumor or any letter claiming to come from us, implying that the Day has already arrived.

The Word of God recorded in the second letter of Paul to the Thessalonians.
