NINETEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME — Year B

Second Reading: Ephesians 4:30-5:2

A reading from the letter of Paul to the Ephesians.

Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.  Get rid of all bitterness, all rage and anger, all harsh words, slander, and malice of every kind.  In place of these, be kind to one another, compassionate, and mutually forgiving, just as God has forgiven you in Christ.  Try, then, to imitate God as beloved children. Walk in love as Christ loved us and offered a self-sacrifice to God for us, a gift of pleasing fragrance.

The Word of God recorded in the letter of Paul to the Ephesians.
