EUCHARIST SUNDAY — Year C

First Reading: Genesis 14:18-20

A reading from the book of Genesis.

Melchizedek, ruler of Salem, brought out bread and wine, and being a priest of God Most High, Melchizedek blessed Abram with these words:

“Blessed be Abram, by God Most High,
the creator of heaven and earth;

And blessed be God

who delivered your enemies into your hands.”

The Word of God recorded in the book of Genesis.

EUCHARIST SUNDAY — Year C

Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 110

R:  You are a priest forever in the line of Melchizedek.

“Sit at My right hand,

till I make your enemies your footstool.”

R: You are a priest forever in the line of Melchizedek.

Our God, send forth from Zion Your mighty scepter.

Rule in the midst of Your foes!

R: You are a priest forever in the line of Melchizedek.

Your people will offer themselves freely

on the day you lead your host upon the holy mountains.

From the womb of the morning

like dew your youth will come to you.

R: You are a priest forever in the line of Melchizedek.

Our God has sworn

and will not retract,

“You are a priest forever

in the line of Melchizedek.”

R: You are a priest forever in the line of Melchizedek.
