Easter Vigil Year B Alternative Second Reading

Is not this the fast that I choose, the fast I ask of you? Remove the chains of injustice! Untie the knots that hinder and constrict! Let the oppressed go free and break every
shackle you encounter! Share your bread with those who are hungry, and shelter those without a home to go to! Clothe the naked and vulnerable and don’t hide from the needs of your sisters and brothers! Do this and your light will shine forth like the dawn—and your healing will break forth like the lightning! Your integrity will go before you, and the glory of God will be always at your back. Cry and God will answer; call and God will say, “I am here.”
